The Beach, Right Outside
A short walk on Pasut Beach, then back through the garden. The simple pleasure of having the shore just outside your villa.
A beach walk can be a small part of the day. You go out before breakfast, stay a little longer than you meant to, then come back wondering whether anyone has put the kettle on.
At Villa Lux Bali, the garden leads directly onto Pasut Beach. There is no drive to arrange for that walk. The black-sand shore is just beyond the property, on Bali's west coast in Tabanan.
Having it so close gives you a chance to enjoy the beach more than once during a stay, without setting aside a whole morning or afternoon each time.
Just a short walk
Perhaps you are the first one awake. You can head outside while the others are still asleep, walk along the shore for a while and return when you feel like breakfast.
Later in the day, someone else might want to go out. You can join them, or stay where you are with your book. It is easy to make a small plan like this when everyone has the same place to come back to.
There is no particular distance to cover. Some days, a look at the water and a few photographs may be enough. On another, you might feel like a longer walk. Let the weather and the conditions on the beach help you decide.
Back through the garden
Being beside the sea also means having your own place close by when you are ready to leave the sand.
At Villa Lux, that might be a seat in the garden or in the shade of the poolside cabana. There is a private 20-metre pool for a swim, and the living areas give you somewhere to settle with the rest of the group.
The villa has four ensuite bedrooms for up to eight guests, with the whole property reserved for your group. Take a look through the villa photographs to see how the pool, garden and shared spaces fit together.
It is worth looking at those connections when choosing a beachfront villa in Bali. Think about where you would sit after a walk, where you would spend a warm afternoon and how much of the stay you would like to spend outside.
The beach changes through the day
One of the pleasures of staying close to the coast is seeing it in different light. The photograph above catches warm evening light on the sand. Another visit to the shore may look quite different, with cloud over the water or stronger waves coming in.
Pasut is a public beach, shared with other visitors and people from the surrounding area. Ask the villa team about current beach conditions and local guidance, especially before considering an ocean swim.
Towards evening, you might head out again. On clear days, the west coast offers a chance to watch the sunset over the sea. Our notes on an evening at Pasut Beach give a little more detail about what to expect.
Is this your kind of stay?
If being able to walk out to the beach is part of the holiday you have in mind, tell us your dates and who is coming.
There will still be places to visit around Bali. For a few days, though, it can be lovely to have the place you want to walk to right outside.
